👩🏻🍳 Tips
- Do not a heat that is higher than medium. Medium-low would also work great. If you use too high of a heat your marshmallows will scorch.
- The brown food coloring is optional. It will just give your spiders a darker brown color, but feel free to leave it out if desired.
- I like to use a metal dry measuring cup to scoop out evenly sized portions for the spider bodies. I don't recommend using a plastic measuring because the mixture will be hot.
- While you are shaping the bodies from this rice krispie treat recipe spray your hands with nonstick cooking spray this will prevent the cereal mixture from sticking to your hands.
- You can also spray your utensils with cooking spray for easy clean up.
📚 Variations
- Not a fan of Cocoa Krispies? Add more brown food coloring to your marshmallows and use original rice krispies cereal.

- If you are a fan of peanut butter, mix in ¼ cup of peanut butter to the melted marshmallows before you add the cereal for a sweet peanut butter treat.
🥫 Storage
