- In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and stir, allowing it to cook for 1-2 minutes. Watch carefully so it doesn't burn.
- Add the butter; cook until melted.
- Add the kosher salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (optional), and add the chicken stock.
- Turn the heat up to high and let the stock come to a boil.
- Add the pasta and cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Once the pasta is tender, reduce the heat to medium.
