Ingredients

  • 6 cups rice krispie cereal
  • 10 oz bag mini marshmallows
  • 4 tablespoon salted butter
  • 10 oz Green candy melts
  • Black or brown jimmies sprinkles Candy eyeballs
  • Black icing
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil optional

Instructions

  • Prepare a 9x13 baking dish by rubbing the inside with butter or non stick spray, and set aside.
  • In a large pot, melt the butter over low/medium heat. When butter is melted, add mini marshmallows and stir to combine. Melt over low/medium heat, careful not to burn the marshmallow mixture.
  • When the butter and marshmallow mixture has melted and is smooth, remove from heat and add the rice krispie cereal. Stir until the cereal is evenly coated in the marshmallow butter mixture.
  • Press the mixture into the prepared baking dish and press down with a rubber spatula. You can spray the spatula with non stick spray to keep it from sticking to the marshmallow.
  • Allow this to set for at least 30 minutes. Loosen the edges and turn out onto a cutting board or parchment paper. Cut into rectangles.
  • Melt the green candy melts in a microwave in 30 second intervals, or in a double boiler. You can add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil to thin the candy melts out if needed.
  • Dip the top of each rice krispie into the melted chocolate and lay onto a piece of parchment paper. Sprinkle with the jimmies sprinkles and place the candy eyeballs in desired places.
  • When the green candy melts have hardened, pipe stitches for mouth with the black icing. Allow to completely set before enjoying.

Notes

When cooking the Rice Krispie mixture, be sure not to get the butter and marshmallow mixture too hot; it will burn quickly.
