Ingredients

  • 36 Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz package softened cream cheese
  • 12 oz White candy melts
  • 12 oz Blue candy melts
  • 12 oz Red candy melts
  • Patriotic sprinkles

Instructions

  • Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a food processor, place the Oreo cookies and pulse until finely crushed into crumbs.
  • Transfer the crumbs to a large bowl, and add cream cheese. Using a stand mixer or handheld mixer, mix until fully combined.
  • Using a cookie scoop, scoop the mixture, and roll into about 1 inch balls. Place on the prepared baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Freeze for about 20 minutes until firm.
  • While they are freezing, you can melt your chocolate melts. You can do this with a double boiler, or in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between. You will melt the red, white and blue candy melts.
  • Dip each ball into the melted chocolate color of your choice with a fork, and gently tap off the excess. Place the dipped balls on the parchment paper to harden.
  • After all the balls are dipped, use the remaining to drizzle/decorate how you desire. Top with sprinkles and enjoy this festive treat!

Notes

Make sure you are using room temperature cream cheese! This makes sure that the mixture comes together smoothly with no lumps!
My chocolate is too thick.. Help!
You can add a tiny drop of coconut oil or avocado oil and mix it in, and it should thin it out!
Storage:
Store oreo balls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 10 days.
