- 1 package chocolate cake mix regular size
- 3 large eggs room temperature, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 cans 20 ounces each cherry pie filling, divided
- FROSTING:
- 1 cup sugar
- 5 Tablespoons butter
- ⅓ cup milk
- 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, butter, and milk and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook for 1 minute.
Remove from heat; stir in the package of chocolate pieces until melted and smooth.
