- ½ pound Bacon dices
- ½ pound Ground Beef
- 1 Medium Onion chopped
- ½ cup Dark Brown Sugar
- ¼ cup Ketchup
- ¼ cup Spicy Barbecue Sauce Use mild if you prefer less spicy.
- 2 Tablespoons Prepared Mustard
- 2 Tablespoons Molasses
- ½ teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 can Kidney Beans, drained the original size was 16 ounces - cans are now 15 ounces.
- 1 can Butter Beans, drained The original size was 16 ounces - cans are now 15 ounces.
- 2 cans Pork and Beans, drained Cans are 16 ounce size.
Slow Cooker Method
Add diced bacon to a large skillet or pan and place over medium heat. Cook bacon until crispy and golden brown. Drain the bacon and blot with a paper towel.
In the same skillet cook the ground beef and onion until the meat is browned, drain and set aside.
Add the drained kidney beans, butter beans, park and beans to the slow cooker. Add in the bacon and the hamburger/onion.
Next add the rest of the ingredients.
Stir with a wooden spoon until everything is well combined.
Cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-7 hours.
Baked in the oven
Follow steps 1 and 2 as for slow cooker.
In a large mixing bowl add the drained beans and the cooked meat.
Add the rest of the seasonings and mix until well combined.
Pour the baked beans in a large lightly greased casserole dish.
Bake the beans in a preheated 350℉ oven for 1 hour.
